Alex McBarnet founded Koalind AB, a boutique wealth structuring consultancy company, in 2017 with the purpose of providing advice and assistance to high-net worth individuals, their family offices and other advisors. Koalind is completely independent but works with trusted professional partners in the wealth industry throughout the world ensuring that its clients receive appropriate and bespoke services.

Before setting up his own business Alex spent over twenty years working in financial services and wealth structuring managing teams and running divisions of several leading international trust companies and banks in the UK, the Isle of Man, The Bahamas and Switzerland. Alex has worked with some of the world’s wealthiest individuals and families setting up trusts, foundations and special purpose vehicles (SPVs) as well as arranging specialist asset finance and providing a range of concierge services. He has also specialised in the ownership structuring, financing and operation of superyachts and private jets.

Alex has been a speaker at many international industry conferences and authored articles in leading publications.

Alex has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in French and Economics, an MBA in International Business and speaks English, French and Italian fluently, has a working knowledge of Spanish and is now learning Swedish.

In his free time Alex enjoys playing tennis and squash, scuba diving, skiing, hiking and travelling the world.
